Requested move 8 May 2017

The result of the move request was: Not moved for now - This was certainly an MOS issue and input from more editors was required. However, the discussion went stale. There is no prejudice against a new move discussion in the near future after taking input from those experienced in this field. A discussion at WT:MOS is the best way to go. Moravian–Silesian Football League → Moravian-Silesian Football League – it's just one single football competition, so the hyphen is correct. Maiō T. (talk) 15:26, 8 May 2017 (UTC)--Relisting. Primefac (talk) 19:26, 18 May 2017 (UTC)
Oppose. But by my reading this is the league of Moravia and Silesia, hence the dash. If there was such a thing as "Moravian Silesia", that would have an adjective with hyphen. Anyway, I think it's clearer with a dash even if I'm wrong (It's a bit esoteric, as it involves adjectival forms and proper names so I'm not positive). No such user (talk) 13:55, 11 May 2017 (UTC)
- Maybe we should use the Classical compound#Binational forms: Moravo-Silesian..., same as Czecho-Slovakian... or Austro-Hungarian...
Maiō T. (talk) 14:52, 12 May 2017 (UTC)- @Maiō T.: Yet we have Greek–Turkish relations (ndash) but Greco-Turkish War (hyphen)... which points to Byzantine–Seljuq wars (ndash) among other things... go figure. I'm striking my oppose, but I can't support either. Raising a question at WT:MOS, perhaps? No such user (talk) 16:01, 15 May 2017 (UTC)

- Relisting comment This definitely seems like an MOS issue, so more input is requested. Primefac (talk) 19:26, 18 May 2017 (UTC)
- Tentative oppose: Is this analogous to the Dallas–Fort Worth Film Critics Association or the Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Film Festival? If so, then it's probably OK as-is. —BarrelProof (talk) 20:00, 18 May 2017 (UTC)
