Dutch cavalry
[edit]From the Battle of Quatre Bras
- ... and Van Merlen's 3rd Dutch Light cavalry brigade arrived.
It seems that the Wellingtons Cavalry is missing from this order of battle. --PBS 22:25, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

No sources
[edit]I am concerned about the accuracy of this article. The original article was largely replaced by this edit on 26 October 2011 by Legal010 who only ever edited this article and the Order of battle of the Waterloo Campaign (25 October to 1 November 2011)
Legal010 also introduced the wording "off" into this page. Has anyone any idea what it means? -- PBS (talk) 10:08, 10 December 2012 (UTC)
- The word "off" is just an abbreviation of "officers". The lack of sources is indeed troubling. I have therefore added De Bas and Wommersom, Vol. III to the References, with a link to this Google e-book, so people can check online. I have checked the tables for the Dutch troops, both complement and losses with the tables in this source and provided references for those. The British troops are also in De Bas and Wommersom, and the losses are in a different table from the complements, so I leave it to others to check and correct if necessary. Finally, the big mystery of the commander of the 28th regiment Oranje-Nassau in the 2nd brigade of the 2nd Dutch division was no mystery at all. Saxe-Weimar was its colonel, but he had to assume temporary command of the entire brigade on the days of the two battles as his superior, col. F.W. von Goedecke fell ill. I have added a note and reference to that effect. I have also added quarter-master-general De Constant-Rebecque and chief-of-staff of the 2nd Dutch division Van Zuylen to the tables because of their important role in the battle(s).--Giant'sConscience (talk) 22:43, 21 May 2013 (UTC)
