Premiere
[edit]Hi, is someone able to confirm whether the first episode has aired or not anywhere. While the results in the article are likely correct (from spoilers), the airdate is listed as August 10 at 10pm EST by the show and various sources. --RealLifed (talk) 04:13, 10 August 2023 (UTC)
- If the episode has not aired, the results need to be removed. “Spoilers” are not acceptable sources. Bgsu98 (Talk) 10:31, 10 August 2023 (UTC)
- User:RealityLeo admitted on his talk page that the episode has not aired, and he posted the results based on his interpretation of the trailer, publicity photos, and postings at fan pages. None of that is appropriate sourcing, so I have removed all of it. We wait until the episode has aired. Bgsu98 (Talk) 15:25, 10 August 2023 (UTC)
Nominations
[edit]There needs to be a way to show the players who have votes and put into The Hopper as it's a fundamental game mechanic. I've seen all attempts to show this be removed, either due to colors being 'unnecessary' despite all other Challenge pages having the colors in chart, to also removing a simple list of names from the Game Summary. Can one variation of the edits please stay, or those removing them please suggest an alternative. Thanks! ReillyVega (talk) 17:05, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
- My alternative would maybe be a voting table to see who receives votes. But I think the use of a color just to denote that a player who received one or more votes is really not needed especially since it would apply to many people.--RealLifed (talk) 17:19, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
- A voting table wouldn't be possible as they don't show all the votes in the show. The list under game summary works, the selected player can be denoted in bold. On the flip side, why is color in the table not needed but The Challenge: Ride or Dies has numerous more colors and is deemed acceptable? ReillyVega (talk) 17:38, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
- Because they're specific to certain circumstances and wouldn't potentially apply to everyone. Honestly though I can see both sides because I do think knowing who received votes is somewhat important but I don't think it should be in the episode progress table.--RealLifed (talk) 17:47, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
- Someone being nominated into The Hopper applies to certain player circumstances, so your point is applicable for this page too. I think it best stays in the table for now until an alternative way can be created. ReillyVega (talk) 18:11, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
- In my opinion, there may be a voting table different from the episode progress table. Which player gets how many votes is specified and the player chosen by The Hopper is written above or that player is specified in bold. RealityLeo (talk) 12:32, 12 August 2023 (UTC)

- Per MOS:COLOR: "Ensure that color is not the only method used to communicate important information. Especially, do not use colored text or background unless its status is also indicated using another method." Here is an easy way to think about it: if you remove the color and the cell is still understandable, then the color is acceptable. For example, the cells that are Sky Blue: take away the Sky Blue and you still know that those players won. However, if the cell is not understandable without the color, then you have to find a different way of conveying the information. For example someone keeps adding a Wheat background to some cells that say SAFE, while some cells that also say SAFE have a white background. What is the difference between these cells? You can't use color as the only means to differentiate between them.
- Just because one article, like The Challenge: Ride or Dies, has MOS violations does not give anyone an excuse to introduce MOS violations into another article. Instead, you should take the opportunity to bring the non-compliant article into compliance. Bgsu98 (Talk) 18:52, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
- BTW, that table at The Challenge: Ride or Dies is an absolute catastrophe. Bgsu98 (Talk) 18:55, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
