A magnum opus?
[edit]Hey guys, do u think we should call this season the magnum opus of the series, cause it's been called by several people as the series's best season. I think that would be a good idea. Arlion123 (talk) 19:36, 24 November 2010 (UTC)arlion123
Ya, actually I thought that was a good idea. I looked at many rankings by people on yahooanswers, ign etc. and i saw that there were several fans of the series who enjoyed this one as their best. So keep it on their guys !!!! Arlion123 (talk) 19:45, 24 November 2010 (UTC)arlion123

Why is Dwight labeled a “minor” character?
[edit]The introduction to the season begins with the following sentence:
“Beginning with "The Dundies", the second season further developed into the plot of the fear of company downsizing, along with the introduction of new characters and developing some of the minor ones—especially that of Dwight Schrute (Rainn Wilson).[1] ”
The way that I read the sentence, and let me know if anyone disagrees, is that it implies that Dwight’s character is a “minor“ character.
Not only is Dwight strongly introduced in the pilot episode but Dwight does quite a bit in episode 2 “Diversity Day” and dominates most of episode 3 when he is put in charge of finding the health plan in “Health Care”. Again come in episode 4 in “The Alliance” it is very much centered on Dwight and his relationship with Jim. In episode 5 “Hot Girl” the plot centers mainly around Michael and Dwight‘s competition over Katie.
Is there really any debate that Michael, Dwight Pam and Jim are the four major characters, even in the first season?
Also the reference, which is footnote number 1 in the link, directs to a review of the second season of the British version of the series not the American version so this needs to get a new citation. Edokin (talk) 18:58, 15 November 2020 (UTC)
