Categorization

[edit]

I'm not sure if these "analogue" categories are apt. Many non-vegetarians eat tofu as tofu, without considering it to be an inferior substitute for something else. It's also missing nattō, which doesn't appear to fit into any row. By the way, there appears to be quite a few articles listed at Fermented soy products. —Tokek (talk)

Thanks for the link. I disagree, however, with the editor because I don't see what the harm was in the convenience of linking to the individual soy products directly, before it was replaced with a link to a category of foods. The way the article fermented bean paste is worded and the way it is listed in the "See also" section of fermented soy products instead of the main list suggests that the category may not be a direct subcategory of soy products anyway. In fact, I have a new idea for a [[Category:...]] now.—Tokek (talk) 23:44, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
