[edit]I notice that you added some good content, but the essay has undergone a number of changes, and I now wonder about the proper location of that addition. Please take a look, and feel free to integrate it where it fits best. Also, feel free to improve that essay. It addresses some very important concepts that the community really needs to understand, accept, and incorporate as a formalized modus operandi.
