My Opposition: the Diaries of Friedrich Kellner
NOTE ABOUT ANY POSSIBLE CONFLICT OF INTEREST: I am the grandson of the German diarist Friedrich Kellner and the copyright holder of his WWII diary. The diary was published in its original language in 2011 in Germany (I co-edited the two-volume edition with colleagues from German universities). And in January 2018 Cambridge University Press published my English translation of the diary. I have worked for a number of years on Wikipedia articles about Friedrich Kellner and his writings. As a former university professor, I am aware of the subjective nature of such a task, and I strive for objectivity and welcome corrections from my fellow Wikipedia editors. Friedrich Kellner risked his life to record the misdeeds of the Nazis during WWII. His diary is an important document in our own struggle with the resurgence of terrorism. The first public showing of the diary was at the George Bush Presidential Library in the spring of 2005 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of VE-Day, Victory in Europe, which occurred on May 8, 1945. The Canadian documentary about Friedrich Kellner, "My Opposition: the Diaries of Friedrich Kellner" was produced in 2007.
