The 1778 North Carolina gubernatorial election was held in 1778 in order to elect the Governor of North Carolina. Incumbent Governor Richard Caswell was re-elected by the North Carolina General Assembly as he ran unopposed. The exact number of votes cast in this election is unknown.[1]
On election day in 1778, incumbent Governor Richard Caswell was re-elected by the North Carolina General Assembly. Caswell was sworn in for his third term on 20 April 1778.[2]
