Career history

Aaron Dilworth (born June 30) is an American professional indoor football wide receiver currently playing for the Corpus Christi Tritons. Prior to his professional career, Dilworth played college football for Texas A&M–Kingsville.

Early life

Dilworth was born on June 30 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was one of four children born to Melissa Dilworth. His siblings include older brothers, Alex and Andrew, and an older sister named Ashley. The Dilworth family were all college athletes as Dilworth's brothers played football for Texas A&M–Kingsville and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi respectively. Their sister Ashley lettered in basketball for Texas State.[1]

Dilworth played basketball, track and field and football all while attending Flour Bluff High School. In football, Dilworth earned district and all-state honors for his performance on the Hornets football team. By his junior season in 2014, Dilworth ran 1,081 yards, made 74 catches, 14 touchdowns, 60 tackles and 5 interceptions.[1]

College career

After graduating high school in 2015, Dilworth joined the Javelinas football team at Texas A&M–Kingsville. He played his first season in 2017, during which he appeared in 9 games, catching 14 passes and scoring 1 touchdown. In the 2018 season, Dilworth was a starting wide receiver for all 11 games. He caught 42 passes and set a team record high of 7 touchdowns.[1] Dilworth finished his college career with a total of 73 receptions and 10 touchdowns.[2] While at Texas A&M, Dilworth was a radiology major.[1]

Professional career

Dilworth played for the West Texas Warbirds during the 2021 season. He later played for the Sioux Falls Storm and the Spokane Shock for parts of the 2022 season. Finishing with season totals of 39 receptions for 509 yards and 8 scores, Dilworth ranked 5th in the Indoor Football League.

On July 1, 2022, it was announced Dilworth signed with the Edmonton Elks of the Canadian Football League. His signing made college history as he was the second player from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi to sign with the CFL since the 2017 signing of Myles Carr to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.[2]

Dilworth joined the Corpus Christi Tritons for the 2024 season.
