The men's 800 metres at the 2024 Summer Olympics is scheduled to be held in four rounds at the Stade de France in Paris, France, between 7 and 10 August 2024. This will be the 30th time that the men's 800 metres is contested at the Summer Olympics. A total of 48 athletes will be able to qualify for the event by entry standard or ranking.

The men's 800 metres has been present on the Olympic athletics programme since the inaugural edition in 1896.

Qualification[edit]
For the men's 800 metres event, the qualification period is between 1 July 2023 and 30 June 2024.[5] 48 athletes are able to qualify for the event, with a maximum of three athletes per nation, by running the entry standard of 1:44.70 seconds or faster or by their World Athletics Ranking for this event.[5]

The heats are scheduled to be held on 7 August, starting at 11:55 (UTC+2) in the morning.[1]
Repechage round[edit]
The repechage round is scheduled to be held on 8 August, starting at 12:00 (UTC+2) in the afternoon.[1]
Semi-finals[edit]
The semi-finals are scheduled to be held on 9 August, starting at 11:30 (UTC+2) in the morning.[1]
Final[edit]
The final is scheduled to be held on 10 August, starting at 19:25 (UTC+2) in the evening.[1]
