Characters in the shows who originated elsewhere

[edit]

Just curious. The categories DuckTales characters and Rescue Rangers characters are listed as subcategories here, although technically some of the characters on those shows originated outside of television. I of course refer to Donald Duck and Chip 'n Dale, who first appeared in film, and Huey, Dewey and Louie, Scrooge McDuck, Gyro Gearloose, Gladstone Gander, The Beagle Boys, Magica DeSpell, and Flintheart Glomgold, who first appeared in comics. Oh yes, and TaleSpin regulars Baloo, Louie, and Shere Khan, who originated in The Jungle Book (although they technically originated in the book it was based on). So therefore, shouldn't this category apply to the characters of DuckTales, Rescue Rangers, and TaleSpin who made their debut on the shows themselves? Or renamed. For what the category has turned out to be, it should probably be called "Disney characters by television series" (or similar) and contain only categories and no articles. (Oh, I formatted your links to categories to be soft links. So you know.) -- Supermorff 17:25, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
