I feel like no distinction is being made here between "Debate Societies" and "Competitive Debate Organizations" and I believe one should be made. ---Antwerp42

What examples do you have in mind? I'd have thought that most debating societies organised their own teams? Mpntod 17:38, 17 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

National Subcategories

[edit]

Does anyone think it's a reasonable idea to create subcategories for Debating societies based on country. There's definitely a distinct history and tradition for debating societies in different countries and I imagine when people look for societies they'll find it useful to have them grouped in this way. 130.88.47.173 (talk) 11:59, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I completely agree. National subcategories should exist, especially with the fact that only American or European debating societies are present in this list. Other regional debating societies should also be represented. Joonzambia123 (talk) 17:19, 4 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
