Catull is a serif typeface created by Gustav Jaeger for the Berthold Type Foundry in 1982.[1]
It has been used since May 31, 1999 by Google in its logo. The company that publishes the search engine transformed it into 3D before giving it colors and a shadow. The company's email service, Gmail, uses it for the first letter of the logo.[citation needed]
Google stopped using this font for its logo on September 1, 2015.[2]
