Dr. Aravinda Korala is a computer scientist and entrepreneur, best known as the founder and CEO of Korala Associates Limited.[1][2][3]

Early life and education

Korala was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka. He received a degree in electronics from King’s College London and a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Edinburgh.[4]

Career

Dr. Aravinda Korala founded Korala Associates Limited in 1989.[5] The company provides software solutions for ATMs and other types of self-service machines.[6][7] The company's ATM software has been used by several banks including Citibank and China Construction Bank, among others.[1]

In 2011, Korala received the Queen's Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category by Queen Elizabeth.[3][8]
