- Comment: Doesn't meet WP:NARTIST. Also m, being an ambassador of any brand whatsoever, doesn't justify notability, and same is applicable here. Safari ScribeEdits! Talk! 07:54, 24 September 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: This will need WP:TNT and a complete re-write in a dry neutral tone referring to what reliable independent sources say about him. Theroadislong (talk) 08:17, 5 August 2024 (UTC)

Bolarinwa Yusuf Olasunkanmi (born February 11, 1999), known professionally as HorlarofLagos, is a Nigerian photographer and creative director specializing in lifestyle and art.[1]
He serves as an ambassador for ShoeLab NG, a footwear-cleaning brand in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, and Layerx[2], a Nigerian customs design company. He is also associated with promoting and supporting the development and recognition of sneaker culture in Africa.[3][4]
Early Life
[edit]HolarofLagos, originally from Osun State, Nigeria, was born and raised in Ipaja, Lagos. He developed an interest in photography at the age of 20, initially focusing on documenting events such as naming ceremonies and weddings for family and friends.
His career in photography evolved as he identified a gap in the recognition of the lifestyle niche within the field, prompting him to explore and emphasize this area further.[5]
Career
[edit]HolarofLagos began his career as a visual artist, initially focusing on abstract visuals driven by his passion for creative expression. However, he soon discovered his aptitude for lifestyle photography. His work gained recognition in 2018[5][6] when a photograph he took of Big Brother Naija star Leo Dasilva went viral.
Following this success, HolarofLagos expanded his portfolio by photographing various Nigerian celebrities, including Victor Osimen, Asake, Burna Boy, Zlatan, Timini Egbuson, Osas Ighodaro and Mike Afolarin.[7]
As his career progressed, HolarofLagos diversified his endeavors by founding the Holar Academy, where he offered freelance services to corporate brands such as Air Jordan, LG, Nivea, and Real Madrid, assisting them in showcasing lifestyle-oriented content.
His involvement in sneaker culture led to a collaboration with Nike, where he produced "Jumps to Kicks,"[8] a design variation of the Air Force 1 sneakers hand-painted by LayersX.
In 2023, HolarofLagos headlined the Sneaker Fest[9], a Lagos-based festival launched in 2022[10], which aims to empower youth through fashion, art, music, and sports.
Awards
[edit]In 2023, HolarofLagos was nominated for The Future Awards Africa Prize for Photography.[11]
