Boniphace Patson Mwaitege, also known as Bony or Bonny Mwaitege, is a Tanzanian gospel musician, pastor, and motivational speaker. Before pursuing a career in music, Boniphace was involved in various trades, including working as a fisherman. He was also one of the dancers for veteran Tanzanian gospel artist Mwansasu and featured as a dancer in Mwanasasu’s album Tutatesa Forever.

Boniphace’s experience with Mwanasasu’s dancing troupe led him to discover his own singing ability. He began his music career as part of a band for Ephraim Mwarisasu, where he was an active dancer in music videos and a backup vocalist. Encouraged by Ephraim, Boniphace decided to pursue his own music career. He moved to Dar es Salaam and faced numerous challenges as an unknown artist before successfully selling his CDs.

In 2007, he released his debut album, Utanitambuaje, which gained him national recognition. Since then, Boniphace Mwaitege has released numerous successful albums and singles, including Mama ni Mama, Tunapendwa Na Mungu, and Usijitetee. His music is celebrated for its inspirational messages and has impacted many lives both in Tanzania and internationally.

In addition to his music career, Boniphace Mwaitege is a pastor and motivational speaker. He uses his platform to promote messages of faith, hope, and love and is highly respected in the Tanzanian community for his philanthropic efforts and commitment.

Boniphace Mwaitege is happily married to Subiraga Mwaitege. Their marriage took place in September 2008, and they are blessed with children. He has been nominated for various awards, including the Groove Awards for Best Gospel Artist in Tanzania, and has performed at numerous festivals and concerts throughout Tanzania and beyond.
