If you need help with referencing, please see Referencing for beginners and Citing sources. This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.

[edit]Cadence Health, Inc., also known as Cadence OTC, is a privately held consumer healthcare company in the United States. [1][2] Founded by Dr. Malcolm Potts, Dr. Nap Hosang, and Samantha Miller in 2016 as a public benefit company (PBC) based in Oakland, California, Cadence OTC provides access to contraceptives without a medical prescription. [3][4][5] Cadence OTC bought rights to two estrogen-progestin combined oral contraceptives, Lo/Ovral and Alesse, from Pfizer in 2016. [6][7][8]
Morning After Pill
[edit]Cadence OTC’s emergency contraceptive, the Morning After Pill, was launched in January 2024 and is available at convenience stores in the United States. [9][10] This OTC emergency contraceptive is designed to prevent pregnancy after unprotected sex or condom failure. Each Morning After Pill contains 1.5 mg Levonorgestrel. [11]
Zena
[edit]Zena is Cadence OTC’s combination birth control pill that contains a dose of progestin and estrogen. [12][13] Cadence OTC has collaborated with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to enable the sale of its birth control pill, Zena, for over-the-counter sale through a process known as the “first–in-class Rx-to-OTC switch.” [14][15][16] As of July 2024, FDA approval for Zena is pending and is labeled as an investigational drug. [17]
Partnerships
[edit]Cadence OTC partnered with Lil’ Drug Store Products Inc., a convenience store health product supplier, in January 2024. [18]
