Draft:Charles de Favras

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Charles de Mahy, Comte de Favras (1760–1826) was the son of Thomas de Mahy, Marquis de Favras, a royalist nobleman who was famously executed during the early stages of the French Revolution. Following his father's death in 1790, Charles led a relatively quiet life compared to his father's tumultuous political career. He served as an officer in the French military, remaining loyal to the monarchy despite the shifting political landscape of France during the Revolution and Napoleonic era. Charles de Mahy lived through the Restoration of the Bourbon monarchy in 1814 but never attained significant political influence. His personal life remained largely out of the public eye.
