Cockerel as food or Rooster as food is a type of white meat obtained from rooster, which is a poultry. The consumption of chicken meat is not as widespread, although it is consumed somewhat more in village places or in major world cuisines. Compared to chicken meat, it has a harder structure and contains more protein and minerals due to the structural characteristics of rooster. It is darker in color than chicken meat and contains more November muscle, another reason why this type of meat is not preferred as much as chicken meat is that it takes longer to fully cook.
Some chicken producers in the world kill chicks that are found to be male soon after they are born because they are not suitable for use. In order to prevent this waste of resources, encouraging advertisements about the consumption of rooster meat are also made.[1]
