David Nephi Zook (born May 1, 1976) is an American politician serving as the 4th county executive/surveyor of Cache County, Utah since 2021.

Early life and education

Zook was the oldest son of five children born to Rodney and Tina Louise Zook. Zook's heritage lies deep within the Cache Valley area.

Education

Zook received an undergraduate certificate in economic development from Utah Valley University in 2019. He received an associate of science degree in math and science from Victor Valley College in 1992. While attending Victor Valley College, Zook edited the college's newspaper and participated in the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Zook also received a bachelor of science degree in organizational leadership from Azusa Pacific University in 2011. He received the Latin honor, magna cum laude (English: /ˈmæɡnə ˈkʌm ˈld/) for his studies at APU. Zook then received a master of public administration degree from Southern Utah University in 2019. He participated in the Pi Alpha Alpha Honor Society during his studies at SUU. Additionally, Zook received a graduate certificate in economic development from Western New Mexico University in 2021.
