From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Double decker bus racing was a Motorsport practiced in the United Kingdom at Northampton Stadium in 1982, in which 6 double decker busses race 15 laps around an oval-shaped track, and whichever bus finishes all 15 laps the fastest is deemed the winner. It was only ever recorded to be preformed once, on the 5th of august, at 1:00pm in 1982.

In the one recorded race that we have access to today (link here) showed that bus 2 was the winner, just pulling up on bus 7 at the last second due to slippery conditions.

The idea was brought up recently on 2 june 2024 by youtuber John Casterline.
