Erin O'Malley is an American director and producer known for her work on the television series Curb Your Enthusiasm, Da Ali G Show, and New Girl.

Career

Erin O'Malley is a five-time Emmy nominated producer for her work on Curb Your Enthusiasm and Da Ali G Show. O'Malley was also nominated for two and won one Golden Globe Award for Curb Your Enthusiasm.[1] She served on the Board of Directors for the Producers Guild of America and American Association of Producers, receiving recognition with the highly honored Charles Fitzsimmons Award for exemplary service.

After starting her career with the children's show Bone Chillers, O'Malley worked in TV comedy and unscripted comedies, including several movies with Curb Your Enthusiasm's Jeff Garlin. In 2004, she produced the cult hit Mango Kiss.[2][3]

For her work on New Girl from 2011 to 2018, O'Malley was nominated for a Women’s Image Network Award for Outstanding Show Produced by A Woman. [4] From 2020 to 2023, O'Malley directed and produced Doogie Kamealoha, M.D., The Crossover, American Born Chinese, and Goosebumps with Disney.[5] The Crossover received the Emmy for Outstanding Young Teen Series and three Kidscreen Awards.[6][7]

Personal Life

O'Malley hails from Tucson, AZ. She graduated from the University of Southern California's School of Cinema-Television, and settled in Los Angeles to live with her wife and two daughters.[8] Erin enjoys spending her free time running, weightlifting, and traveling with her family. [9]
