Gameday Men's Health is a Men's Health clinic that specializes in testosterone replacement therapy, erectile dysfunction, weight management, vitamin and peptide therapy.[1] The clinic addresses issues that are unique to men's health and aging, which historically have been underrepresented with in the healthcare field. By offering a dedicated space and focus on these issues, Gameday aims to provide an "in-depth support and a variety of treatments to combat prevalent issues like low testosterone levels, erectile dysfunction, and weight concerns—factors that often degrade men’s quality of life."[2] Low testosterone levels commonly present as lower energy levels, erectile dysfunction, reduced muscle mass and a diminished sex drive. Because these symptoms are associated with masculinity, men often feel uncomfortable discussing and addressing their challenges.[3] By educating patients about the important role of hormonal balance in one's physical and mental health, Gameday Men's Health strives to push past stigma and foster a community of well-informed men seeking to actively engage in their health and wellness[4]
The company was founded in 2018 in Carlsbad, CA by Dr. Evan Miller[5]
History of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT)
[edit]In 1996 Dr. A Morales first suggested clinical practice guidelines for screening and monitoring male patients receiving testosterone supplementation therapy as a treatment for erectile dysfunction. In the last two decades TRT has seen a sharp increase. The most recent guidelines, titled Evaluation and management of testosterone deficiency, were published in 2018 by the American Urological Association (AUA).[6] Employing best practices in evidence-based medicine, the AUA guideline was developed by a multi-disciplinary panel of experts to "inform clinicians on the proper assessment of patients with testosterone deficiency and the safe and effective management of men on testosterone therapy." [7] In line with the AUA Testosterone Deficiency Guideline,[8] Gameday's health's care delivery model for TRT focuses on accurate assessment of testosterone levels, symptoms and signs as well as proper on-treatment monitoring.
