Ganbatte Convention is an annual two-day anime convention held during August at the TCU Place in Saskatoon, Canada.[2] The Ganbatte Convention was first held at TCU Place in 2016.[1] The convention's name is derived from the Japanese phrase ganbatte (がんばって), which means "Do your best" or "Stand Firm".

Ganbatte Convention Inc. is a Saskatoon-based non-profit organization that celebrates Japanese and Asian media and arts. They organize various events throughout the year, leading up to a major anime convention and comic expo every july-August. Run by dedicated local volunteers, the organization brings together fans of anime, comics, and gaming. By partnering with the Saskatoon Comic Expo, the Ganbatte Convention fosters a vibrant and inclusive community for enthusiasts.

History

Ganbatte Convention Inc., established in July 2015, is a non-profit organization dedicated to celebrating Japanese media and arts in Saskatoon. The inaugural convention took place at TCU Place in July 2016,[3] followed by annual events in 2017[4],[5] 2018,[6] and 2019[7].[8] After a hiatus due to the global pandemic, the convention returned in August 2023[9] for its fifth edition. They finished their sixth edition on 25th august 2024.[10]
