Jim Morrison first had the idea to write "Horse Latitudes" from his highschool, which, on the back of a hardcover book at the highschool, showed horses being thrown off a boat.[1]

Other releases

"Horse Latitudes" has only been released on a select number of compilations, including Weird Scenes Inside the Gold Mine.[2]
