IK Baltichov was a Swedish handball club. The team competed in the top division of Swedish handball and achieved some notable results in the mid-20th century.

History

IK Baltichov was active in Swedish handball during the 1940s and 1950s. In the 1949-50 season, the club eliminated IFK Kristianstad from the Svenska mästerskapet (SM) tournament in the round of 16.

Notable Achievements

One of the club's most significant accomplishments came in the 1950-51 season when IK Baltichov, despite being a second-tier team, reached the SM final. They faced IFK Kristianstad in the final but were ultimately defeated.

Legacy

While IK Baltichov is no longer active, the club played a role in the development of Swedish handball during its prime years. Their ability to compete with and sometimes defeat top-tier teams like IFK Kristianstad demonstrated the competitive nature of Swedish handball during this period.
