Iakovos – Antonios Armaos (Greek: Ιάκωβος-Αντώνιος Αρμάος) is a Greek doctor of Philosophy[1], Communication Specialist and Entrepreneur. He leads efrata[2], a Communication Consulting, Public Relations and Public Affairs company and is considered as one of the major political analysts in Greece. He is also holding an MA in Communications Policy Studies from City, University of London and a BA from the Department of Political Sciences and Public Administration of the University of Athens, specializing in European and International Affairs.[3]

Career

Armaos has to show a rich and busy career, with him earning managerial positions of high responsibility at a relatively young age. In 2001 he was employed as general manager in the company Communications in Practice (CIP)[4][5], with the main field of activity being administration, advertising, public relations and the development of new business. His activity in CIP led him to become President and CEO of AdStore Hellas[6][7][8] from 2002 to 2007, a company that would come to be among the leaders in its field in Greece at the time. Around the same time, and more specifically on 2003, Armaos became a Partner in DDB Health, where he worked as Vice Chairman.

After leaving AdStore Hellas, Armaos became a VP Management Consultant at Fortune Group, an advertising, media, public relations and sports management agency. From 2010 to 2012, he worked at the advertising company Adel-Saatchi & Saatchi from the position of VP Management Consultant[9] , mainly responsible for the development of the company's business activities.

From 2008 to this day, Armaos is the leader of efrata, a Strategic Communication, Public Relations and Public Affairs company, having to show a history of a clientele of major Greek and multinational companies.[10][11] [12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19]

Public Activity

Armaos is considered as one of the major political analysts in Greece.

From 2008 to 2015, Armaos was co-founder and vice-president of KEPRONIPO (Centre for the Promotion of Island Policy)[20][21], a non-profit organization that published articles and lobbied extensively to raise awareness and promote solutions for the establishment of island policy in Greece and the Mediterranean countries."

Armaos has also made several appearances as a Political Analyst and Communication Consultant on TV and Radio[22][23][24][25][26], and has published over 400 articles on policy, communication and lobbying issues in leading Greek local and national publications.[27][28]

He has also written and published a book entitled “Yesterday may come Tomorrow”[29][30], as well as a number of pieces in academic journals.
