Early Life and Career

John Addams was born on 23 September 1910 in Lima, Peru. Little is known about his early life, but he reportedly showed a keen interest in aviation from a young age. In 1935, he founded Aerovolt, aiming to revolutionize air travel in South America.

Innovative Ventures

One of Addams' most controversial decisions was his attempt to cut costs by purchasing surplus cars from a local repair shop in bulk. He purportedly dismantled these cars and attempted to construct an airplane from their parts. Unfortunately, this venture did not yield any successful sales, and Aerovolt faced financial difficulties.

Legal Issues and Flight to Lebanon

Addams' career took a dark turn when he became entangled in legal troubles. Allegedly, he was pursued by Peruvian authorities after being involved in an incident where a natural reserve caught fire, resulting in the death of two park rangers. Fearing prosecution, Addams fled to Beirut, Lebanon, where he sought refuge.

Assassination

In Beirut, Addams continued to live a controversial life. He reportedly had connections with Israeli citizens, which stirred suspicion among local militia groups. In a tragic turn of events, Addams was assassinated in a Beirut mall on 11 February 1964. Militia groups viewed him as a spy for the Israeli government, leading to his untimely demise.

Legacy

Despite the controversies surrounding his life, John Addams left a mark on the aviation industry with his bold entrepreneurial spirit and unconventional business tactics. Aerovolt may have been short-lived, but his story remains a cautionary tale of ambition and its consequences.
