- Comment: It's a very similiar case as with most companies/organizations submissions, sources are relying on the various WP:ROUTINE press announcements of formation, team members or funding. Sifted appears to go more in-depth in the text, but that's it. Unsurprisingly, given they haven't even finished to work on their first project, making it WP:TOOSOON. History
[edit]Mainframe Industries was founded by thirteen founders in April 2019 with Thor Gunnarsson as their CEO in Helsinki, Finland. They opened their second office in Reykjavik, Iceland in October 2019 and their third office in Paris, France in September 2021. The founders are industry veterans mainly from Remedy Entertainment and CCP Games, developers of the space based MMORPG Eve Online.[1]
Mainframe Industries is VC backed and have raised around €30 million from three rounds of funding from backers like Riot Games, Andreessen Horowitz, and Twitch and King co-founders.[2][3]
They publicly announced that they are working on a massively multiplayer online game in October 2019 and revealed their game, Pax Dei, in March 2023.[4] On October 10, 2023, they announced their partnership with New Tales to co publish Pax Dei.[5] It went into Early Access on June 18, 2024.[6]
