Miranda J. born Miranda Johnson (April 28, 1990) is an American journalist and producer. She has worked with Walt Disney Television and the Tamron Hall Show earning three Daytime Emmy nominations along with the entire production team. She was previously an Editor for outlets that include Essence Magazine, XXL Magazine and MTV News. Johnson is also a an integral part of super producer Will Packer's digital production team, working as a director for Will Packer Media, xoNecole, and Will Packer Productions.

Career

Johnson first worked at MTV News as an intern before joining the team as a freelancer editor in 2012. The following year, she was hired as a news editor for XXL Magazine where she spent three and a half years—during the time transitioning to a features editor and producer. In 2014, she wrote a cover story highlighting 50 Cent's transition from a rapper to a television mogul.

From 2017 to 2020, Miranda held the role of social media producer for Essence Magazine, assisting the legacy publication to transition into the digital age.  Her viral interview at Rihanna's 2019 Diamond Ball is one of Essence's most popular videos online to date.

In 2020, she joined Tamron Hall's daytime talk show as a producer. During her time there, Miranda has garnered three Daytime Emmy nominations along with the entire production staff.

Miranda is also a director at Will Packer Media.
