Mircea Barbu  (born 26.04.1984)[1] is a Romanian journalist and war correspondent for HotNews.ro, one of Romania’s largest and most influential news platforms. He is best known for his in-depth reporting on political, social, and international affairs, particularly his coverage of the Ukrainian conflict.[2]

Barbu was born in Rosiori de Vede, Teleorman county, Romania, and pursued his education at the University of Babes-Bolyai în Cluj-Napoca[2], where he specialized in history and philosophy.[1]

Mircea Barbu started his career as a journalist with Adevarul newspaper before joining HotNews.ro as a freelance contributor, where he gained recognition for his special reports.
