Rosman High School is in Rosman, North Carolina.[1] Tigers are the school mascot.[2] It is part of Transylvania County Schools in Transylvania County, North Carolina.
It is at 749 Pickens Highway. It serves grades 9-12 and has about 230 students in 2024.[3]
The school's basketball team competed in the 1920s.[4] The football team was established in 1959. It has won conference championships. The school's baseball team started in 1965, track & field followed in 1973. During the 1976-77 school year volleyball and softball were added. The Wrestling team formed in 1985 and cross country in 1989. A golf team began in 1999. In 2002 the volleyball team won a 1A state championship.[4] The school's football team was winless in the three seasons up to 2023.[5]
In 2024 the student body was about 90 percent white and six percent hispanic. Sixty percent of students were documented as economically disadvantaged. Students scored above the state average in mathematics and reading proficiency.[3]
