Selene Elizabeth Bryce

American writer, activist, producer and noted discoverer of de-aging. She was born in Savannah, GA on March 17, 1954 to parents Anna Carney (niece of Alan Carney, American Actor/Comedian[1]) and Thomas Bryce[2], (first cousin to Warren Beatty [3]and Shirley MacLaine,[4] both American Actors).
Biography
[edit]Because her father’s work took the family across the globe, Bryce witnessed many levels of poverty during her childhood travels. In 1972, she returned to the United States and attended Jacksonville University. Bryce graduated with a BA, minoring in Theology[5].
Although enrolled in law school, Bryce did not make it. Instead, her summer turned into winter traveling and partying with her older cousin, Warren Beatty.[6][7][8] Later, in a two film deal with Columbia Pictures, Beatty got them to produce Bryce’s and Carol Eastman’s screenplay, The Fortune (1975).[9]
During production of The Fortune (1975)[10] in New Mexico, Shirley MacLaine came to visit Beatty, her brother. MacLaine and Bryce have been known rivals since childhood.[11] As Andy Warhol regularly commented, “If they’re both in the same room, a fights going to happen.” The family story tells that Ori Beaty, MacLaine’s father, commented on Bryce’s beauty as a young girl and MacLaine became jealous.[12][13]
During one of many arguments on the set, MacLaine insisted that Bryce be fired from the production of The Fortune (1975). Due to her status in Hollywood at that time, MacLaine prevailed and Bryce was fired. Ironically, Jack Nicholson later had Eastman fired from the same production.[14]
Deciding to return to law school, Bryce began modeling to pay tuition. Under the management of John Casablancas[15], Bryce worked most of her modeling career in Asian countries, such as Japan, where it is rumored she learned many of her de-aging techniques.[16]
Bryce went on to devote the majority of her life to defending civil rights. She fought for abortion rights[17], women’s rights and human rights in the United States alongside Gloria Steinem, Jill Ruckelshaus and Shirley Chisholm.[18][19][20]
In the early 90’s, Bryce’s work became almost entirely focused on the growing number of homeless foster kids[21], although her outspoken and determined character proved no match against the United States government. In 2019 she filed, and lost, a federal court case[22] which would have forced the Department of Children and Family Services to account for over two million missing foster children in their care. Claiming corruption, she retired from her activist lifestyle.
However, it was her travels that led her to discover de-aging. It is rumored that she trained a few, select persons in her process. “Since we all signed NDA’s I can only say, if they’re rich and look considerably younger than their age, they were probably one of my clients,” she reports[23].
But the process itself, remains a highly guarded secret. There have been many rumors circulated regarding the source of her youth and beauty, which have been attributed to, among other things, witchcraft, drinking the blood of virgins and eventually earned her the nickname of ‘Dori Gray’, given to her by Mary McFadden (World renowned Fashion Designer) at one of the last parties Andy Warhol (American Artist/Icon) gave before his death[24]
Bryce returned to Hollywood and writing screenplays, returning to her roots of writing and production, Between 2018 and 2023, Bryce made many Indie films, among them the critically acclaimed Walk Away From Getting Arrested (2019)[25].
In 2024, Bryce began producing streaming service series. Series such as Son of a Bueller (2024), a reboot of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, with Matthew Broderick and The Legend: Indian Outlaw (2024)[26], an original drama series. Streaming service series became very trendy in early 2024 and continued to overwhelm the market.
