Sotipura, also known as Central or Standard Maithili, is the main dialect of Maithili language, mainly spoken in the Mithila region of India and Nepal.

Sotipura dialect is spoken mainly spoken in Darbhanga, Samastipur, Saharsa districts of Bihar, India. It has 22 million speakers according to the 2024 estimated.
