Stephen Bistline (March 12, 1921 – November 19, 2001)[1][2] was a justice of the Idaho Supreme Court from 1976 to 1994. He received his J.D. from the University of Idaho College of Law in 1949.

Born in Pocatello, Idaho, Bistline spent five years in the United States Navy.[3]

Descibed as the court's "conscience and resident civil libertarian for more than 18 years", Bistline resigned from the court at the ago of 73, following a period of physical maladies and diminished participation in the docket.[3]
