Uncovering the Litanies[1] is a Catholic long form discussion podcast hosted by Luke Evans and Nick DeLorenzo. It was launched on Spotify on April 18, 2024. It was later added to Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, iHeartRadio, and other large platforms. The podcast uploads a new episode featuring a litany or novena, and the history of the prayer. They interview priests, consecrated religious, and other Catholic men and women.

History
[edit]Uncovering the Litanies[2] was created on 18 April 2024, and releases a new episode every Sunday at midnight.
Its most popular episode is "The Litany of Humility[7] w/ Walter Plummer,"[8]which was recorded on June 10, 2024. It was the released as the podcast's fifth recorded episode on June 16, 2024.
On March 16, 2024, Luke Evans (Host) was introduced to the Litany of Trust by his friend during an Ultimate Frisbee tournament in Chattanooga, Tennessee.[9] Evans realized that there were many litanies that he wasn't aware of and that he wanted to share with the world. He decided to created a podcast called, "Uncovering the Litanies". He invited his friend, Nick DeLorenzo to join his podcast as the co-host of the show. The official podcast trailer was released on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, iHeartRadio, etc., on April 18, 2024.
Podcast title
[edit]On March 28, 2024, after coming to the idea of starting the podcast, Evans and DeLorenzo were deciding on what to name their podcast. DeLorenzo considered the title, "The Lit Litanies", and Evans considered the title, "Uncovering the Litany". But after much decision, they came to the conclusion that they would name the podcast, "Uncovering the Litanies", due to the reason that they would be "uncovering" meaning "discovering the history" of many litanies rather than a single litany.

[edit]The original cover art for the podcast showed a gray speckled semi-blurred background with a rosary dangling down upfront on the left. On the right, the words, "Uncovering the Litanies" appear with the hosts' names "Luke Evans and Nick DeLorenzo" are shown below.
On July 15, 2024, Evans created a new cover art for the podcast. The new art was considered to be a more masculine logo to represent the Catholic talk show.
