- Comment: Please note that the creator of this article, User:HydraRiseMedia, has been blocked indefinitely for their promotional edits, as they have likely been paid by the band Nightrage, their label or management, to promote their works in various ways online; see User talk:HydraRiseMedia. The coverage of this album is mediocre at best. Ss112 20:04, 10 September 2024 (UTC)

Wolf to Man is the eighth studio album by the Swedish-Greek melodic death metal band Nightrage, released on 29 March 2019 through Despotz Records. The album’s central theme revolves around humanity's regression to a primal state, exploring the darker side of human nature and the destruction that follows.[1]
Background
[edit]Wolf to Man was produced by Ronnie Björnström, a notable figure in melodic death metal production. The album was recorded at Otse Music Studio in Thessaloniki, Greece, and Bombshelter Studios in Uppsala, Sweden. Mixing and mastering were completed at The Mixroom, Umeå, Sweden. Lyrically, the album discusses the collapse of humanity and the rise of primal instincts.[2]
Music and style
[edit]Wolf to Man continues Nightrage's established sound of aggressive melodic death metal, blending riffs with melodic hooks. The album showcases Ronnie Nyman's growling vocals, with Marios Iliopoulos and Magnus Söderman delivering guitar work. Songs like "By Darkness Drawn" and "Wolf to Man" received praise for their dynamic structure and anthemic qualities.[3]
Reception
[edit]New Noise Magazine highlighted the balance between aggression and melody, while Metal Reviews called it one of the band's most polished efforts.[2][3] Sputnikmusic also praised the album's consistency, though noted that it follows a familiar formula.[4]
