Yucheng (Eric) Hu (born November 10, 2002) is an entrepreneur, educator, author, and a student at Yale-NUS, previously at Yale University. He is the founder of ESC Education (Empower, Share, Change), an education company established in 2016 that focuses on youth empowerment, Project-based learning, and leadership.[1][2] ESC Education has been featured in various media outlets, including multiple articles by Sohu News (搜狐新闻).[3][4]
Known for his articles "我在斯坦福的100个小时" (My 100 Hours at Stanford) and "HU: On the Accidentality of Relationships", Yucheng (Eric) Hu is also an author at Yale Daily News, and has published articles on multiple national media platforms, such as The Paper (澎湃新闻, over 197 million users), NetEase News (网易新闻, over 28 million users), and Sohu News (搜狐新闻, over 185 million users).[5] [6] [7] [8]
Yucheng (Eric) Hu is a co-author of Self Directed Learning with Dr. Zhaodan Huang (China Machine Press, 2022).[9]

[edit]In 2022, the book Yucheng (Eric) Hu co-authored with Dr. Zhaodan Huang, Self Directed Learning (自驱型学习力: 名校学子成长手记), in which he wrote the last chapter, titled “不随波逐流的倔强” (The Conviction to not follow the conventional path), was published by China Machine Press, the second-largest publishing house in China.[9]

[edit]In 2023, Yucheng (Eric) Hu was invited to speak as the alumni representative at the 20th anniversary of Shanghai Rixin Experimental Primary School.[17] The event was attended by multiple district ministers of education and was broadcasted by the Shanghai Education Television Station.[18] A recording of the event was published by the Shanghai Education Television Station on January 2, 2024.[19]
