Elsah Township is one of eleven townships in Jersey County, Illinois, United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 2,462 and it contained 1,027 housing units.[2]

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 26.42 square miles (68.4 km2), of which 23.79 square miles (61.6 km2) (or 90.05%) is land and 2.63 square miles (6.8 km2) (or 9.95%) is water.[2]
