[edit]- ^ Dean Macey was hoping for a gold medal, however in his last training session he gained an injury which he thought he could bear, but before his event started he had to withdraw saying if he thought he would finish he would carry on, but he knew he wouldn't be able to do the whole 10 events.

- ^ In the qualifying round Pritchard was tripped over by Cumsa (ITA), who was pushed by Tavares (POR). Pritchard and Cusma appealed and have had a bye into the semi-finals, with the Portuguese athlete ,Tavares, being disqualified. However, Pritchard gained an injury in the fall, and has to withdraw from the event.
