Development and pre-production

[edit]

After completing her prior commitments, it was reported that Nayanthara had signed her upcoming project, which would feature Kavin Raj as a co-star. Vishnu Edavan, associate of Lokesh Kanagaraj who namely worked in Leo (2023), was reported to make his directorial debut with it.[1] The project would reportedly be funded by S. S. Lalit Kumar's Seven Screen Studio.[2][3] The company made a public announcement on 22 July 2024, confirming the project.[4] Vishnu chose Jen Martin to score the music, in their maiden collaboration. He had further chosen cinematographer Leon Britto, editor Philomin Raj, choreographer Brinda Master, costume designer Kavya Sriram and publicity designer Sivam C. Kabilan for the technical crew.[5]

Filming

[edit]

Principal photography began with an inaugural puja ceremony with the film's cast and crew and the first schedule on 12 July 2024 in Chennai.[6] During this schedule, a picture of the sets were leaked onto the social media; the presence of Prabhu, Radhika Sarathkumar, K. Bhagyaraj and Poornima Bhagyaraj in the pictures confirmed their inclusion in the film.[7][8]

Music

[edit]

The music and background score is composed by Jen Martin, in his third collaboration with Kavin after Dada (2023) and Bloody Beggar; first with Vishnu.[9]
