Kenneth Rooks (born 21 October 1999) is an American track and field athlete. Originally from College Place, Washington,[3] Rooks represents Nike and will compete for Team USA in the 3000 m steeplechase at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
Prior to going pro, Rooks competed for the BYU Cougars. While there, he won the 2023 NCAA Division I Outdoor Championship in the 3000m steeplechase,[4][5] despite falling during the race.[6][7] In high school, Rooks won two WIAA cross country state championships (2015, 2017) and graduated as valedictorian.[8]
Rooks is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a missionary in Kampala, Uganda.[9] He is married to Taylor Human.[10][11]
