Louis Boisgibault (born June 30, 1962)[1] is a French expert in energy transition, former higher education & corporate director, professor, researcher[2] and author[3] known for his publications on energy transition in the EMEA Region.[4][5][6][7][8][9]
Early life and education
[edit]Boisgibault was born in Neuilly-sur-Seine. He graduated in 1984 with a master's degree in economics and management from Université Paris-Dauphine. He received a MBA from HEC Paris in 1990[10] with an exchange program at the Wharton School.[11][12] In September 2016, he defended successfully a PhD thesis at Sorbonne Université in geography.[13][14][15][16]
Career
[edit]After eight years at BNP-Paribas in Paris and Amsterdam, Boisgibault worked for Electricité de France and Engie Group in Paris and London, as executive director and Board member[17] for energy projects. In 2006, he co-founded and led VALMERE,[18][19] a consulting firm specialized in energy transition. He started to lecture in graduate schools and enrolled for PhD. After several part-time positions as Senior Lecturer and contractual Professor,[20] he was appointed in March 2022 as Director of Development and Cooperations[21] and full-time faculty member[22] at North American Private University[23] in Sfax, Tunisia, where he was confronted to illegal migration.[24]
In August 2024, he joined Expertise France to be deployed as Expert to the Minister of Economy of Kosovo, in the Minister's cabinet in Pristina, to advise on energy transition.[25]
