• 1996 - Cyclone 08B reaches its maximum intensity with winds of 140 km/h (85 mph), just two days before making landfall over eastern India. Seven people were killed in total.
• 2003 - Tropical Storm Odette (pictured) formed to the south of Jamaica in the Caribbean Sea. Odette would later cause minor damage in the Lesser Antilles.
