Rainbow Children’s Hospital, one of India’s leading multispecialty pediatric hospital chains was set up in 1999 with a vision to revolutionize pediatric healthcare. From its humble beginnings, Rainbow Children's Hospital has grown into a leading network of 1,935 beds across 6 cities namely Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Vijayawada, and Vizag with over 400 NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Units) beds and over 200 PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Units) beds across multiple locations. With 25 years of unparalleled service and commitment, Rainbow Children’s Hospital has its presence in 5 states in India with 19 hospitals and 4 outpatient clinics.

Rainbow Children’s Hospital focused on pediatric care initially, but now, it offers comprehensive services in tertiary and quaternary care including liver, renal, and bone marrow transplants. Founded in 1999, with its dedicated child-friendly hospital in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad Telangana, Rainbow Children’s Hospital operates on a hub and spoke model. In 2006, Rainbow Children’s Hospital introduced the DNB Pediatric Training Program at Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. We diversified into obstetrics and gynecology in 2007. In the same year, we set up our first hospital in Andhra Pradesh at Vijayawada.

We rebranded our perinatal services division as “BirthRight by Rainbow Hospitals” in 2015 and also entered Karnataka by setting up our hospital at Marathahalli in Bengaluru. We expanded our services to North India by setting up Madhukar Rainbow Children’s Hospital at Malviya Nagar, New Delhi in 2017, and after 2 years, through our strategic alliance with Rosewalk Healthcare Private Ltd., we started another hospital in Delhi. We strengthened our presence in South India by setting up a hospital in 2018 at Guindy in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Backed by our expertise in gynecology, obstetrics, and pediatrics, in 2019, we ventured into the fertility space and set up our first IVF facility at Kondapur, Hyderabad. In 2020, we expanded our network in Andhra Pradesh by establishing a hospital in Visakhapatnam. Rainbow Children’s Hospital became a public limited company with its listing on BSE and NSE in 2022. In 2024, we set up 3 hospitals one each in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Chennai.

An exclusive hospital for Pediatric Cardiac Care – RCHI RCHI—Rainbow Children’s Heart Institute is Rainbow’s dedicated centre for comprehensive pediatric cardiac care. This specialized institute addresses over 30 different cardiac conditions, including congenital heart issues, all under one roof.


Pure Little Hearts Foundation – A significant step towards saving the little hearts Rainbow Children’s Hospital established the Pure Little Hearts Foundation, a noble initiative to offer financial aid to impoverished children with cardiac-related issues in Hyderabad in 2022 /ref>

Accreditations

3 hospitals of Rainbow including two in Hyderabad and one in Bengaluru have been awarded with the prestigious JCI accreditations and 12 hospitals have been accredited by NABH. Global Recognition Rainbow Children’s Hospital achieved a remarkable feat in 2016 by setting a Guinness World Record for assembling the largest gathering of people born prematurely, underscoring its commitment to advancing neonatal care. In 2018, Rainbow Children’s Hospital was recognized with inclusion in the Limca Book of Records for saving the smallest baby in Southeast Asia weighing only 375 gms.
