Founded in 1995, the team is a member of the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL), the second tier of women's soccer in the United States, and plays in the Northern Division of the PAC North Conference.^[1]

The team plays its home games at Kezar Stadium in San Francisco.^[2]
