Merging with GF article

[edit]

Any article reporting a NSWRL/ARL/NRL Grand Final should absolutely be contained within articles on each NSWRL/ARL/NRL season. A number of these artciles have been created in recent months and with the help of others I would intend over time there be an article on each and every season. These are currently containing season result ladders and details on the premiership winners. Such articles are perfect places to put the match report of the GF Sticks66 03:05, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

When I first started these season summaries late last year I had the very intention of having everything contained in the one article. This hasn't been the case sometimes (with individual club seasons and now these Grand Final pages popping up). I think we should have a larger conversation on the Project talk page and come up with a solution to these issues. In my opinion if each of the season pages is created, non-regular external editors may feel more inclined to help out write up summaries since there is something already up. And the best way to consolidate the quality and quantity of these pages right now would be to merge other articles popping up into these main NSWRL/ARL/NRL ones. I've started making some more season summaries ever since I noticed Jeff and others helping out too. There aren't really that many to go now. Keep up the good work. --mdmanser 10:04, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Now it's merged. And I took the liberty of dropping the NSWRFL logo a little. Trust we all agree with the notion of using the logo notwithstanding that the NSWRFL didn't have such a logo till the 1970s (I guess) --Sticks66 14:11, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah I'm not so much for a smaller logo, but it's not a big deal. I now do realise it didn't have a logo, and perhaps suggest we keep it in there until we can find another suitable picture (such as a shot from a game or trophy photo). --mdmanser 14:23, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:NSWRFL 1983.jpg

[edit]

Image:NSWRFL 1983.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
