Party participation in strike?
[edit]The article contains this:
- "...especially when it turned out that members of the party had universally participated in it. (At that time, Solidarity had some 9 million members, but 12–-14 million people took part in the strike.)"
I do not see how the first part follows logically from the second. The sentence in the parentheses shows that millions of people who were not members of Solidarity participated but it doesn't say anything about how many of them were party members. Furthermore, it says nothing about what fraction of party members participated. For the word "universally" to apply, almost all party members would have had to be involved. (Of course, this may well be true; I know this period of history very poorly. I'm just pointing out that the second sentence does not prove the first.) Molinari (talk) 21:44, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

Wyszyński?
[edit]One of the key persons in events, by the name of Wyszyński, is mentioned twice at the end of paragraph 3. It appears that his original mention, including full name and link, have been erased from the article. I am assuming this is Stefan Wyszyński, Polish Cardinal, as there is a brief and similar mention of involvement Solidarity on his personal entry. I am adding him to this article, but it would be good if it could be reviewed by someone more knowledgeable on the topic. 14.137.202.229 (talk) 14:39, 13 May 2016 (UTC)
