According to the International Disaster Database, there was a tropical cyclone (no reference to intensity) that killed 14 people in Bangladesh. Cyclonebiskit (talk) 17:54, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Per a review of GIBBS satellite imagery around the time, there doesn't appear to be any TCs near Bangladesh. Cyclonebiskit (talk) 18:04, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Another storm is listed as killing 50 people in January in the country. Cyclonebiskit (talk) 17:56, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Per a review of GIBBS satellite imagery around the time, there doesn't appear to be any TCs near Bangladesh. Cyclonebiskit (talk) 18:04, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A third "missing" cyclone is listed as killing 125 people in India in April. Cyclonebiskit (talk) 17:59, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Per a review of GIBBS satellite imagery around the time, there may have been a brief land depression around this time over eastern India. Cyclonebiskit (talk) 18:04, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This season is odd, the IMD BT lists ARB 01/02 as two separate storms although i found out via the JTWC it was only one. Also even more puzzling is the fact that we started in November but according to 2010s end of monsoon report, theres only ever been one monsoon season that no depressions formed in (2002), so that would plonk the start date back a bit. After a review of the IMDs Annual frequency of Cyclonic disturbances page i can say that there was not a Land Depression that year and it also lists ARB 01/02 as 1 system. However it did turn up the total depressions for 1993 which i have chucked into a table above. A few months ago i checked the Beven reports for 1993 which told us that a depression existed in early June or July.Jason Rees (talk) 19:07, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Hurricanehink. I told you sometime last week that I was interested in reviewing this article. Well, now I will do that.

  • "causing widespread damage estimated at US$216 million." - At first I thought you should add a footnote to state that this was 1993 USD. But I noticed that this is one of only two damage figures mentioned in the article (aside from in BOB 03's section). Maybe just change it to "$126 million (1993 USD)"? I don't care what you do as long as it is mentioned that this value is USD in the year 1993
  • "unofficial basis by the American-based Joint Typhoon Warning Center." - Added "(JTWC)" after Joint Typhoon Warning Center
  • "only the 8th time since 1891 for such an occurrence." - 8th ---> eighth?
  • "One storm in the year formed in the Arabian Sea in 1993." - Obviously that's probably unusual. But is there a record of the fewest in the Arabian Sea in one year?
  • "convective system westward across the Malay Peninsula." - I noticed earlier in the article you said "Malay peninsula", with a lower case 'p'. Later, in the section for BOB 04, you say "Malay Peninsula". I'm not sure which one is correct, but you should stay consistent
  • Karachi is wikilinked twice in the second paragraph of ARB 02
  • No impact in Sri Lanka from BOB 03?
  • You have the location for Reference 3, but a few of the other references have locations. Either add those or remove the location for Reference 3
  • Reference 14 is missing a title

All in all, another decent nomination from you. Not too much work is required and this could be finished quickly. I will gladly pass this article if the above issues are fixed and/or addressed in a timely manner.--12george1 (talk) 20:53, 28 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
