Couple of issues - April 2010
[edit]Why is the type of crash in the infobox describes as "Conspiracy CFIT" ... what is the meaning of ""Conspiracy"?
What time of day was the crash - seems important information to me. Ditto weather, or, at least, visibility. I'm failing to unerstand why the pilots were unable to see the airstrip. --Tagishsimon (talk) 12:57, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
- There is controversy regarding the official explanation behind this crash. The focus is primarily on the supposed gun shot wound observed in Ron Browns head. I believe a controversy section added to this article would be in good taste. --Northroad (talk) 04:37, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
Redirect
[edit]I'm wondering, why does Ashley Davis redirect here? I read the article but it didn't mention any person by that name neither explain anything about it. —Dipnlik (talk) 03:23, 20 August 2010 (UTC)

- FYI this has been fixed in the article so you don't need to check for it like I just did. the old one is cached at waybackmachine and the new one is at defense.gov, article by Linda D. Kozaryn 108.182.13.221 (talk) 19:26, 25 September 2014 (UTC)
Couple of issues - June 2011
[edit]Here in the UK, I've just watched this episode of Air Crash Investigation.
Why doesn't the article mention that the airport at Dubrovnik was not approved, by the U.S. DoD, for use by U.S. military transport aircraft?
The TV programme also seems to suggest that the aircraft was not properly equipped for its use as a VIP transport and that charts issued to the crew were not up-to-date and had not been reviewed, as required, on the instructions of the operations commander of the 86th Airlift Wing.
Surely these items are pertinent and should be included in the article? Agent0060 22:03, 25 June 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Agent0060 (talk • contribs)
Would this also be a possible "Boeing 737 rudder issues" wiki, the time of the accident is during the time the 737s were having fatal rudder issues, from 1991 to 2001. The FAA ordered an upgrade of all Boeing 737 rudder control systems by November 12, 2002 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.8.114.103 (talk) 01:57, 20 July 2011 (UTC)
Map
[edit]I added a map to the article and placed the coordinates shown for the crash site and Čilipi airport, but the points come up in the ocean. Any help? Also, I tried to map the map all the former Yugoslav countries to include Tuzla, but when I previews it, the points had moved drastically despite that I had not changed them. Please help! Thank you, Jacsam2 (talk) 16:59, 22 August 2011 (UTC)
Positions
[edit]Corrected the locations on the map, but I'm not 100% sure about the crash location. Zeljko — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.139.108.181 (talk) 16:48, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for your help! I also attempted to have the map show Tuzla in Bosnia in yellowish as well so I added Yugoslavia (modern nations) map to the page but again in the preview the locations were not correct! Do you know how to fix this? Thank you! Jacsam2 (talk) 22:39, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
Before I change this, is there something strange about the foreign language report?
[edit]The paragraph says TSgt Shelly Kelly died of "an injury sustained in an ambulance" rather than "died from her injuries in an ambulance enroute to the hospital." Is this a translation error? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.73.22.113 (talk) 21:49, 27 September 2014 (UTC)

1996 Croatia USAF CT-43 crash → United States Air Force Flight 21 – This should be named so per WP:AATF. I highly doubt that the common name was 1996 Croatia USAF CT-43 crash. Username006 (talk) 05:39, 23 January 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose - the current name seems to be consistent with other entries at Category:Accidents and incidents involving United States Air Force aircraft. — Amakuru (talk) 15:47, 9 February 2022 (UTC)
